1. Try achieve break even sales on daily basis. Make sure your revenues are sufficient to cover your daily costs [fixed and variable]. Do this & be successful in doing it.

2. When comfortable with step 1, try working for more sales volume. This leads you to profit zone. [citerus paribus]

3. Be a visionary [as opposed to frog under "tempurong"). Contemplate the future realistically and MAKE them happen (InsyaAllah).

Prerequisite to Business Success

English Translation:

When doing business, entrepreneurs & small businesses will face three major situations:

1. Situations that demand survival skills–skills in understanding costs, gross margins, fixed expenses, profit calculations, unit contribution margins, realistic sales estimations, and flexibility in “controlling” fixed expenses in order to break even their businesses in any time period. Ability to break even will lead to ability to make profit.
2. Situations requiring marketing skills–ability to see the sources of revenues and harness substantial customers and make the enterprise profitable. Once able to achieve the break even volume, only the sky is the limit (up to the ozone layer)
3. Situations requiring visionary skills–ability to see and realize future projections and making the enterprise grow.
